I am a medical graduate from Pakistan and currently a PGY-4 in the neurology program. Also, I am a proud husband and father. I like the lesion localization aspect of neurologic presentations and the fact we have many new treatment options available now in the field of neurology that makes the field of neurology exciting. Outside work, I enjoy spending time with my family and explore new activities for the kids.

"Noman has an exceptional knowledge base and actually started his neurology residency training having already completed a Stroke fellowship in Edmonton. Although he already has a huge depth of knowledge in vascular neurology, his eagerness to strengthen his knowledge in all facets of neurologic niches is a remarkable example of self-directed learning and drive for intellectual stimulation."

"He is extremely approachable when junior residents or off service learners have questions or knowledge gaps. No question is ever too basic and he always responds with endless patience and a clear and digestible lesson. By doing so, he contributes to a strong culture of team cohesion and lifelong learning. This also extends to more formal leadership roles; he has a library of teaching material that he reviews with his junior residents when senioring the ward, making sure to prioritize their learning while on service with us. He has also delivered several excellent lectures during our academic half day on complex subjects, ranging from a detailed review of neuro-anatomy or the genetics and neuropathology of dementia."

"Noman is a model of professionalism. You will often find him in our resident room, staying late reviewing documentation and results for patients or spending the extra time to counsel a family that’s received a new diagnosis. He manages to juggle the duties of a demanding residency training program with the extra responsibilities of being our lead resident this past academic year, as well as with moonlighting for Neurosurgery and being a father to two young daughters. He does all this with a consistently positive attitude and sunny outlook which shines upon those around him."
