December Resident of the Month
Huzaifa Saeed

I’m Huzaifa and I’m a PGY1 anesthesiology resident. I was born in Pakistan and completed my undergraduate degree and medical school at the University of Saskatchewan. Outside of medicine, I enjoy travelling, sports, and exploring new cafes.
Here are some of the reasons Huzaifa was chosen as Resident of the Month (As quoted from the nomination letter):
"Dr. Saeed exemplifies balance and collegiality through his efforts to build a supportive and connected community within the residency program. He is known for organizing pickleball games, dinners, and social events that bring colleagues together outside of the hospital, helping to maintain morale and strengthen team dynamics. His commitment to wellness and positivity contributes meaningfully to the culture of camaraderie within residency."
"He has demonstrated a strong commitment to teaching and mentorship. He is co-developing an Anesthesiology Clerkship Primer to help medical students and elective clerks prepare for their anesthesia rotations, and he plays an active role in mentoring students applying or considering the specialty of anesthesiology."
"His professionalism, reliability, and calm demeanour have earned the respect of peers andfaculty alike, and he continues to approach each discussion with fairness and a genuine desire to improve the residency experience for all trainees."
